1. Register for the WHERE Developer Program
2. Send an email with your contest entry to create@where.com. The email should contain:
   
   • Your name, email address, and phone number
   • The URL for an application that runs within the WHERE online phone emulator
   • The URL for your 22x22 logo (8 bit png)
   • The URL for your 50x50 logo (8 or 24 bit png)
   • Concise step-by-step instructions for using the application for the first time
3. Accept and comply with Official Contest Rules

Tips

• Have a friend test your app, do this more than once. This ensures that the 'getting started' process is simple and intuitive, and catches bugs that you might have missed. If your app requires multiple users, then have several people simultaneously try it out.
• Handle 'edge cases' such as signed in, signed out, slow data connection, etc.
• If you don't have national coverage for your geographic content, make it easy for the user to get to the region where you have good content (e.g. a button or link on the home page).
• Spend some time on design. Depending on your skill level, considering hiring a designer for the icons.
• Come up with a consistent name and logo, it can be something very simple.
• Incorporate graphical elements if possible. People like pictures. But keep images sizes small.
• Make use of the uLocate developer forums to get advice.
